Miguel Cabrera takes grounder to the face

Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera took a bad hop to the right eye off of the bat of Philadelphia Philly Hunter Pence on Monday.  The ground ball seemed to take a hard hop as Cabrera was in position and struck his sunglasses opening a gash around the eye that required eight stitches. After being evaluated, results show that Cabrera has a broken bone below the right eye; however, they do believe Cabrera should be able to go on opening day against the Boston Red Sox.
